The Stage Activities feature automatically creates suggested activities when deals move between stages or when new deals are created. This helps teams maintain consistent workflows and ensures important follow-up actions aren't missed.
Teams can configure suggested activities for each deal stage through the admin interface:
s0_activities: Activities for the initial stage (e.g., "follow up,email, call the boss")
s1_activities: Activities for the lead stage (e.g., "send proposal, schedule meeting, research client")
s2_activities: Activities for the quote stage (e.g., "negotiate terms, prepare contract, get approval")
s3_activities: Activities for the won stage (e.g., "close deal, send invoice, celebrate")
s4_activities: Activities for the lost stage (e.g., "follow up,collect feedback, upsell opportunity")
When a deal:
Enters a new stage → Activities are automatically created
Is newly created → Activities for the initial stage are created
Moves between stages → New stage activities are created (if not already present)
The system prevents duplicate activities by:
Checking if activities for the same stage already exist
Only creating activities once per stage per deal
Allowing manual activities alongside auto-generated ones
Go to Admin → Teams
Find your team and click the Manage Stage Activities button (📋)
For each stage, enter comma-separated activities:
follow up, email, call the boss
Click Save
No setup required
Activities will be automatically created when deals move stages
You can still create manual activities as usual
Create a new deal in stage s0 (Explore)
If your team has configured s0_activities, the system automatically creates:
"follow up" (todo, assigned to deal owner)
"email" (todo, assigned to deal owner)
"call the boss" (todo, assigned to deal owner)
Deal moves from s0 to s1 (Lead)
System checks if s1 activities already exist for this deal
If not, creates activities based on s1_activities configuration:
"send proposal" (todo, assigned to deal owner)
"schedule meeting" (todo, assigned to deal owner)
"research client" (todo, assigned to deal owner)
Deal moves from s2 back to s1
System checks for existing s1 activities
Since they already exist, no new activities are created
Prevents duplicate activities
